Many thanks to the Executive Match Staff for making the 2004 Area 8 Championship another successful event. In spite of heavy rain Sunday, a total of 320 of the 341 registered competitors accepted this year's challenge. For any shooters who find themselves in a higher class, please check your NEW classification before you notify me of any errors. This match would have never happened without the hard work during registration and stats from my wife, Tina; the GREAT stage designs and computer skills of my Assistant Match Director, Larry Eckert; the invaluable Range Master service by George Jones (Area 8 Director); and the skillful handling of sponsors and vendors by Sponsor/Prize Coordinator Phillip Clark. In addition to the special thanks going to my Executive Match Staff, I want to extend a sincere expression of gratitude to the dedicated CRO's and RO's who kept the match running smoothly regardless of steady rain or high temperatures over the four days.
